The NACG Halal Certification Standard defines the requirements for certifying food, beverages, products, ingredients, and services as halal-compliant in accordance with Islamic dietary and ethical principles.
This standard emphasizes permissibility, humane treatment, cleanliness, transparency, and traceability, and applies only to the specific scope reviewed and approved.

The Rule: The animal species is halal-permissible when animal slaughter is conducted according to recognized halal principles, including: invocation at time of slaughter, humane method intended to minimize suffering, and proper draining of blood.
The Enforcement: This is performed by a qualified halal butcher or halal-compliant facility in which full documentation and traceability are available.
Examples: Halal-slaughtered meat, halal-derived gelatin, dairy from halal-permissible animals, and compliant enzymes or additives.
The Rule: Fruits, vegetables, grains, legumes, plant oils and extracts, synthetic or mineral ingredients not derived from prohibited sources.
The Nuance (Important): Fermented ingredients where intoxicating alcohol is not present or retained.
The Rule: Most seafood is considered halal under widely accepted interpretations, provided processing and handling remain halal-compliant.

This Vendor Certification Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into between North
American Certification Group (“NACG,” “we,” or “us”) and the undersigned business
(“Vendor,” “you”).
By applying for or using NACG certification, Vendor agrees to the terms below.
Acceptance
By submitting this application, vendor acknowledges and agrees that NACG may contact Vendor as necessary to process my application, administer certification or verification services, communicate compliance requirements, conduct audits or inspections, and provide required administrative notices. Vendor understands that NACG may also send limited service-related or informational communications. Vendor may opt out of non-essential communications in accordance with NACG’s Privacy Policy. By submitting an application, Vendor agrees to NACG collecting an annual fee only upon approval. Vendor acknowledges that he/she has read, understood, and agrees to this Agreement.
